Stop Drop Rave Xilent blog post

I liked this feature that the bloggers of Stop Drop Rave posted up about Xilent so figured I would share it up.

Remember promoters out there in North America...let me know when you would want to bring out our boy to the states and providences ;)

Cheers.

TWO NEW XILENT REMIXES

When I first heard Xilent’s original Choose Me, I knew he would end up to be one of my favorite producers. His style is so clean and radiant that you can’t help but to feel good when you hear it. His latest two remixes, set to release soon on the Ministry of Sound label, don’t let down at all. These are only previews of what’s to come, but they’ll give you an idea of how smooth this guy really is.

He grew up in Poland (his real name is Eryk Kowalczyk) with musician parents, where he was exposed to many different forms of music. He first tried his hand at producing at 8 years old trying to make a mix of House and Acid Techno, and he eventually got immersed in Trance and heavier soudns from artists like The Crystal Method and The Prodigy. In following years he experimented with other styles like Techno and Breakbeat, where his unique uplifting style was created. But it was Drum & Bass that truly gave him his home, and everything he learned from the other genres poured into this one to make a truly well-rounded DJ.

His first release came in 2009 on Ammunition Recordings - Quality Killer EP with the track Terminal, which was called a “drum and bass anthem” and “one of the biggest tracks of 2009” by journalists. Xilent now lives in Scotland where he studies sound design at a university, and he continues to bring the beats in full force with his new exclusive signing with AudioPorn records and Mainframe Recordings. If you wanna learn more about Xilent, check out his Official Webpage, or follow him on Facebook, Twitter or YouTube.

And check out these sick remixes!
