Info about DJ Illy
Known in Chapel Hill for his mixtapes, DJ Illy recently decided to return after a ten year hiatus from the music scene. As a DJ in Seattle from 1997 through 2001 Illy was known for bringing a taste of the dirty south out in his rap and dancehall sets. If it was taboo to play odds are he would. Today the genre, crowd and location have changed but the bass hasnít. Focusing on dubstep and electro-house, Illy currently hosts a dubstep show Wednesday nights in Chapel Hill and is expanding the areaís EBM/IBM scene. Dropping dark sounds is a typical night for Illy as he frequently joins area IBM artists for shows. Illyís influences include Deadmau5, Wolfgang Gartner, Cold Blank, Darth & Vader, Datsik, Excision, Nero, Benga, and Doctor P to name a few. As a producer/remixer and DJ, Illy is continuing to expand the electronic scene at clubs throughout central North Carolina and currently working in the production studio

It is a label by Prolix formed with the intention of bringing loud deep and heavy dance floor drum and bass to the masses.
Distributed on vinyl and MP3 by ST holdings, Trendkill opens its account with two huge tunes.
The first by the label boss himself - Prolix - Freeze Frame -, and none other than Gridlok & Skitty teaming up on - Con Artist - on the AA.

Panda presents Viper Recording's own NC-17. This Canadian/US Drum & Bass duo originating from Toronto and Ohio, started writing music in 2004 and have been steadily rising to prominence in the Drum and Bass scene. The duo consists of Peter who founded the group and Korosiv who joined in 2007. Inspired and taught initially by Corrupt Souls, NC-17 has developed their own hard style of Drum and Bass with a big cinematic influence. This comes as no surprise as Peter is a university educated film maker.
Their music has been played by the biggest in the scene including Andy C, Futurebound, Ed Rush, Optical, Randall, Pendulum, Trace, Bad Company, Red One, Shimon and many more. Their tracks have appeared on an impressive collection of label outfits such as Viper, Hardware, Proximity, DSCI4, MAC II and Sudden Def.
