We would like to Introduce to you Live Summit. Live summit are the second Exclusive act we have at Dangerous New Age Recordings and our new label Live and Dangerous. The reason we signed Live Summit is because the potential that have and what they bring to the stage. Over the last few years Live Summit have been building up a huge fan base in Europe and Russia, If you go on YouTube and watch some of their videos and look at the crowds they play to its almost got to a cult like status.
All ready Live Summit have supported Black Sun Empire, Fresh, The Panacea, and the Sect We think within a few years we can make this band a house hold name. Live Summit are getting ready to drop their first ever release, and also first one of many on Live & Dangerous. The guys have worked very hard on each tune to make sure that this is going to be a good start on Dangerous New Age and Live & Dangerous. The studio is the second side of Live Summit but playing at festivals and gigs is their main attention, so studio techniques will progress over the coming years.
Live Summits EP has 5 tracks on. One of the stand out tunes is called Fly High featuring the Vocal talents of AnnGree. It was really a good idea to get AnnGree to sing on it as she brought something unique to it. It’s not just another vocal tune it has has a really different vibe and huge European presence on it which is quite rare in Drum & Bass. Live Summit and AnnGree really thought about this one.
The live performance of Fly High has been amazing and it’s defiantly one of the tunes on the EP that’s going to get played a lot. The whole EP is a journey into the music of Live Summit and will show you why they are getting so much love and hype from their fans.
The guys have worked very hard to make every tune a party tune; they even remixed The Vangardes D2F. Most tunes on the EP show us that Live Summit is not just a brilliant live act but it shows us that these guys can really sing to. The Live Summit EP is definitely giving you a taste of what’s to come. Look out for their Debut EP dropping April 4th 2011 on Live & Dangerous.

Rico & Scoop - Little Green Decibel Nation (Dub Step Remix) Out Monday April 4th
Rico & Scoop - Little Green Men Decibel Nation Dubstep Remix Out 4th April by LiveNDangerous
Rico & Scoop – Little Green Men (Decibel Nation Dub Step Remix)
After the great success off both the original mix and remix of Little Green Men which has had the support of Prolix, Edrush & Optical, Block He4d, Maldini, The Upbeats Optiv Mark and Stu of Cause4Concern J Majik & Wickaman, Panacea and many more. We decided that’s it’s now time to grace the Dub Step world with a version, We call up Decibel Nation on this remix and what banger he did. Decibel Nation is from Florida in the USA and comes with a lot of talent to say the least.
The Little Green Men Dubstep remix has all the right elements from the original and has the potential to make a massive impact on dance floors across the Globe. The feedback that has come back has been very good and positive, and Decibel Nation is slowly building up his name. This is a guy that is very versatile in his music and has no boundaries.
The track starts with that now infamous sound that brings the name to life. A tease of the intro and then some seriously disgusting Reese added to give it a menacing sound. The drop builds up with a rise down sound then bam you’re suddenly taking like the Grim reaper sneaking up on you with a final destination tattoo imprinted on to your skin. Massive basses and generous helpings of the Decibel Nation sound all make this remix work well. If you have the other 2 edits then you need to grab this. Keep your selection up to date. Out on the 4th April on Live &
Dangerous.

(COMING TO EARTH LP) Dangerous New Age Recordings
Dangerous New Age Recordings first release this year is a 13 track album called Coming To Earth. It features 13 artists, that’s right 13 monster tunes with each track producing enough energy to keep the party alive. Coming To Earth has something for everyone on it, and each tune creates its own mood, and atmosphere, murky dark and melodic all in one bundle.
Dangerous New Age has ability to spot artists that are going to break through, and turn some heads, and the Coming To Earth LP is the perfect way to showcase the next producers we strongly believe in that are going to break down some walls and barriers. Each artist has given 110 percent and a little bit more.
The Coming To Earth LP is rolling, dirty upfront and in your face This one is sure to get the clubbers calling for them sometimes forgotten about rewinds. This is an album that will be staying in your charts for many months. It’s the perfect way to introduce your set or give you something special at the end of it. Coming To Earth Is coming to you, live and loud on April 4th 2011. ( Dont Miss Out!!)
Artists on the LP include Insom, Ble3k, Qo, The Vangarde, Qhymera, STHS, INT Company, Anthrax, LineRunners, Artomik & Heitor, Mind Warden, Mechanical Freaks, Tonnie Fox.

[DAUDIO02] - BTK, Optiv, Mindscape, Genotype OUT!

[DAUDIO02] - BTK, Optiv, Mindscape, Genotype OUT!
BTK presents Dutty Audio - DAUDIO02
Not many labels can lay testament to having a globally supported debut release, occupying every respectable artist's set list.
Then again, not many labels can boast a follow up EP, with each track remixed by some of the scenes most respected producers.
This, however, is exactly what Dutty Audio has achieved.
Fronted by Brazilian power-producer BTK, DAUDIO02 is ready to explode into the market, with an EP featuring remixes by C4C maestro Optiv, Mindscape, Genotype and dynamic duo Octane & DLR.
Currently being supported by everyone from Ed Rush to Teebee, BTK and Dutty Audio, is beginning to each a mark that will leave a scar on the scene for a long time to come.
1. BTK - That's What It Is (Optiv Remix)
http://soundcloud.com/btk/thats-what-optiv-remix
Known for his engineering ability and big production style, Cause4Concern star Optiv demonstrates why he was given the A-side.
Futuristicly frantic and funky, Optiv does not disappoint in his output. This is the tune you've been hearing.
2. BTK - El Commando (Mindscape Remix)
http://soundcloud.com/btk/btk-el-commando-mindscape-remix-dutty-audio-daudio02
One of the highlights off of the debut EP, Mindscape had a huge task ahead of them.
Not only have they accomplished toppling the original, they've also brought a new lease of life.
Think Favela on Acid. Shuffling and toxic, Mindscape do original proud. "Commando!"
3. BTK - Vengeance (Octane & DLR Ripping and Tearing Rmx)
http://soundcloud.com/btk/btk-vengeance-octane-dlr-ripping-and-tearing-rmx-dutty-audio-daudio02
Shakers and deep basslines at the ready, Octane & DLR take the hotseat.
With delving, pitch bending basslines and shakers to make any bottom jiggle, the duo bring a remix straight from the top draw.
Currently featuring in every respectable artists bag, witness the low end destroy systems as only Octane & DLR can do.
4. BTK - Dutty Step (Genotype Remix)
http://soundcloud.com/btk/btk-dutty-step-genotype-remix-forthcoming-on-dutty-audio
Veteran Genotype finish up the EP release with a storming remix of Dutty Step.
A offset drum track keeps in theme with the tracks title, as the murky and moody vibes flow.
All round dirty, grime, and definitely dutty, Genotype complete the EP in style, making DAUDIO02 a release that cannot be missed.

MIXMAG WEEKLY DJ CHARTS – MARCH (WEEK 4)
March 28th, 2011 | by CC Borjeson
A new week, a new set of Top 10 charts from 12 of the most exciting artists from all over the DJ universe – from fresh up-and-coming artists, through pioneers of more underground sounds, to some of the biggest household names.
This is Mixmag.net DJ Charts – March Week 4 counting another dozen of fresh charts with the right tracks to kick off your week, from M-nus’ minimal luminary Heartthrob, the pioneer of Italy’s burgeoning d’n'b scene Maztek, Canadian born dubstep champion Jonah K, Hard Dance queen and D’Amour label boss Amber D, BPitch Recordings’ founder and techno staple Ellen Allien, Brazil’s own nu-electro terrorists Dirtyloud and more…
Heartthrob
Influenced by the sounds of Detroit and notably Richie Hawtin’s Plastikman in the early 90s, art student Jesse Siminski, aka Heartthrob, plunged himself into the world of minimal techno and music production. Following a move to New York he befriended future stablemates Magda and Troy Pierce who introduced him to Ableton Live, whereby shortly after Richie Hawtin himself moved to the neigbourhood. Heartthrob’s fate was sealed and his future with the legendary M-nus label a fact. His 2006 breakthrough ‘Baby Kate’ defining his sound, Heartthrob continues to rack up studio hours constantly perfecting his live output.
Gregori Klosman
Paris-born Gregori Klosman is a rising name on the electro-house scene behind the 2010 monster-hit ‘Fuckin Down’ with Tristan Garner, prompting remix work for the likes of Bob Sinclar and Akon. His releases on Armada, Cr2, Nero and Spinnin Records are amassing support from artists such as Erick Morillo, David Guetta, Steve Angello, Afrojack, Tiesto, and landing him gigs in his native France, but also NYC, Miami and Las Vegas where he shared the booth with Chuckie. Check him out in the nearest big room next to you.
TWR72
Hailing from the Netherlands the two close friends The Walk and Rogerseventytwo, making up the production outfit TWR72, started working together in 2004 and were announced as the ones to watch by Erol Alkan in 2008. Branded by the BBC as ‘future techno’, sitting between stripped back minimal and techno, TWR72 are currently receiving support from everyone from Erol Alkan, to Zombie Nation, Laidback Luke, A-Trak, The Sound Pellegrino Thermal Team and Brodinski. Recently signed to up-and-coming UK based label Bad-Life their ‘Future Tool EP’ will be released on April 4.
Ellen Allien
A true product of her native Berlin and the fall of the wall, Ellen Allien is a visionaire and protagonist on the electronic music scene, with her hands in several aspects of the field, from electronica, to pop and experimental excursions, but always staying true to techno. Founder of the seminal BPitch Control, releasing a slew of full-lengths – including a noted collaboration with Apparat – in short succession, she also manages her own clothing label, in between touring every corner of the world. Following her album Dust (2010) her latest album ‘Dust (Remixes)’ is out now.

Gridlok, Prolix and MC Fats' ‘Got To Roll’ track sets the vibe in this video | watch the skills my boy Serge has on the canvas

Gridlok | Prolix | MC Fats “Got To Roll” (MotionGraff 12)
Gridlock and Prolix’s track “Got To Roll” is a classic Jungle / DnB sounding track which is rare these days with all the hyper synthed out feel good DnB out there today. “Got To Roll” keeps it real to its true form of the hard drums, echoic vocals, and punching bassline. The Video is a perfect complement to the track showcasing the talent of DJ Vandal with his mad graff skills on canvas. The concept for the video is simple in its nature but complex in its content. The use of time-lapse photography exposes the process of DJ Vandal’s creative process step by step as we watch the organic growth of his masterpiece.

Interview with Maztek (Italy) + Mix
Today I'm going to go beyond North America and the UK all the way over to Italy. This artist first caught my ear on Beatport and than on Soundcloud. It seems everything he puts out is top notch quality and I love speculating on who the next big artist in 2012 might be.
Meet Matteo Cavo aka Maztek. Matteo began playing guitar and drums in several bands as a teenager and by the age of 18 his passion for electronic music took over. Matteo began to produce techno and drum and bass tracks and would play out regularly in the Italian underground scene. In 2005 Maztek formed the label “Subculture Records”, releasing his music digitally and on vinyl, garnering international attention.
His productions have also been released on labels such as Modulate, Transistor Technology, Basswerk, Trust in Music, Close 2 Death, and some forthcoming releases on Vampire, Sudden Deff, Icarus Audio, Scripture and Subculture. Maztek has worked on collaborations with Optiv, Couse 4 Concern, Future Signal, Sleeper Cell, Malsum, Proktah, and Billain No Money, Dabs, Aeph and BTK. He has been playing shows in Berlin, Budapest, Cologne, Rome and around Italy but has yet to touch North America. His recent collaboration with Grotesque titled "striaght to bed" is a personal favorite and its absolutely smashing the dance floors at the moment. His recent release on Modulate called "Floating" is also a killer tune a must have in the shops right now. Hopefully it wont be long until we see him behind the decks at a club in Toronto. I spoke to Maztek about his studio habits and his country's underground culture.
Hello Maztek, How are you today?
looks good thanks going to celebrate tonight
How many languages do you speak?
I speak English, a little bit of French, Spanish and Italian
Tell me about the underground scene in Italy. How big are the parties? What are they like? How much of it is Drum and Bass?
Our underground scene is really huge, sometimes you can find big parties like our first label party here ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TbiN-le2P10 ) with almost 3000 people. the parties are more commonly in clubs now and the drum and bass is not as underground as it was 2 or 3 years ago. Currently it has a huge following as well as electro, techno and dubstep.
Your tunes always sound great are very well done. Are you self taught, or did you have someone to guide you through the process?
Thanks, I work alone but to get to the actual technique, I compared and I compare myself with many producers and djs and during the last few years I had the opportunity to work with producers who I respect very much. I learned a lot from these experiences.
What kind of hardware and/or software do you use?
I use cubase 5. In terms of hardware I just have a axon midi converter for guitar so I can play synths with my guitar instead of the keyboard which is much easier to me. I also have a motu 828 mk2
What do you think makes you different from any other producer in Drum and Bass?
I think every producer is different from another, just as a person is different from another. To me different is what's inside. We all have different personal experiences and we express things differently.
So I think what makes me different from any other producer is what I am.
Who were your main influences when you were just starting out as a producer?
I started to produce other kinds of music and I was influenced by reggae, hip hop and trip hop. When I started to produce dnb, I was inspired by Badcompany, Grooverider, Ronisize, Adam F and Andy C. right now I take inspiration from many producers (Noisia, Ed Rush, Phace and many many more) but i also continue draw influence from different genres of music.
You also Produce Dubstep and Electro. How is your work flow divided between these three genres? Do you have weeks where you only make one genre or do you constantly go from one to another?
I go from one to another. I have no real method, I open the sequencer and I write beats, sometimes they are dubstep, sometimes electro and usually dnb than it depends on how I feel or on the idea that I have in mind.
How many of the tracks you start do you actually finish and how many of those that you finish actually get released?
Sometimes I start a tune but I never finish it because I start another one. Sometimes I work for months on a tune until it is finished, Most of them are signed and released. Occasionally I close the project becouse I think nothing good will come out.
If you absolutely had to choose either Dubstep, Drum and Bass or Electro to listen to for the rest of your life what would it be?
Hard to say.. For the rest of my life.. I would choose Dubstep but dreaming DnB during nights.
Here in Canada, we have many great artists but a large amount of them find it very difficult to get international recognition among the Drum and Bass giants of the UK. Is it fair to say this about artists in Italy as well?
Uk is where it all began, so you know it is always hard to be in the game, but good music has no boundaries. Right now we are starting to be recognized.
Do you buy bags of milk?
Yes, even when I don’t like milk. but sometimes I go to my friends places for dinner.
I'm a very skinny man. Ive seen how much food you people eat. If I'm ever in Italy, can I stop by for dinner?
Sure mate, I can cook some typical dishes for you and I think in 1 or 2 monthes you can be fat enough (laughs)

Futurebound Vs Metrik - Brave New World / Sabotage [VPR035] - Out March 28th 2011

Futurebound Vs Metrik - Brave New World / Sabotage [VPR035]
What makes the perfect collaboration? It has something to do with an ideal blend. When you’re looking for goals in football, many turn to the big target man / small speed merchant combination, in U.S crime shows it’s the good cop / bad cop which wrangles the confession, and the same is true in drum in bass. Think of the classic collaborations, from Andy C & Shimon and Dillinja & Lemon D to Ed Rush & Optical and Pendulum and Fresh, and the same is true – it is a clash of complimentary styles, each bringing their own unique talents to the table to produce a new whole, to produce something special.
This is undoubtedly the case with the newest release on Viper Recordings. In one corner we have Viper label boss Futurebound, who leaves a string of heavyweight collaborations in his wake. His previous classics over the years on the scenes finest labels including collaborations with the likes of Brookes Brothers, Camo & Krooked, J Majik & Wickaman and of course partner in crime Matrix, have produced some of the biggest and most sought after anthems in drum and bass. In the other corner is Metrik, the latest production phenomenon in the Viper camp (and from a label which has championed the likes of ShockOne, Camo & Krooked, DC Breaks and Delta Heavy – take note). With Metrik already burning the ears of the likes of Nick Grimshaw and Annie Nightingale on Radio 1, expectation couldn’t be higher for his next release.
With Futurebound bringing the experience of years of smashing dancefloors and his trademark ultra sharp production and bassline inflected soul and Metrik brining his own devastating style of old school vibes with new 2011 futuristic beats, this is a classic collaboration from the Viper Recordings don and the young prodigy. This one's a banger; let’s hope it’s not the last time these two hit the studio together.
DJ Support for this single from:
DJ Hype, Pendulum, Andy C, Danny Byrd, ShockOne & Phetsta, High Contrast, Brookes Brothers, Dirtyphonics, Friction, Subfocus, Ed Rush & Optical, Nero, Camo & Krooked, Matrix and of course Futurebound & Metrik.
‘Brave New World’
Seeing the two producers involved, it goes without saying that the production on ‘Brave New World’ is sharper than a cutthroat razor. Kicking straight into the tough drums alongside euphoric synths, the track drops into an epic sunrise breakdown with the hatiras vs. space invader reminiscent rave-house build coming soon after. As soon as the house flavour rolls in, it is snatched away again as the drop comes with an almighty rush of cavernous tunnels of wobbling bass warmth. Much like the first time you heard Clipz’s classic remix of Ez Rollers ‘Ready For Love’ this is a bassline to fall in love with simply due to the ingenious way it manages to sit somewhere between darkness, jump up and reigned in subtlety.
‘Sabotage’
Now for the darkness. Into the intro comes a monotone technoid alert, turning into a two note signal which sits alongside a rising crescendo leading to the drop of 2011 so far, with bass hitting you square in the chest and snaking away across a four bar pattern, its shape twisting your insides into a knot of sub and tension. Having constricted you over the first sixteen, the tune then switches again into Dillinja style future funk rasps and pummeling bass call and response. No doubt used liberally for those crowd destroying mid tune double drops, this is the perfect match up of Futurebound’s and Metrik’s styles. Terrifying stuff.

Edward Oberon featured on GenXGlow.com: Lets you in on his WMC pre game

Who even goes to Miami for business?
Not Just a Party...
For years, Winter Music Conference and Ultra Music Festival has been chance to let loose, and have a good time. We save up for plane tickets, gas, hotels—then when we actually get there, there's that ridiculous parking, obscene prices for entry at the hottest clubs, pool parties…oh and factor in the food part somewhere in there as well. We focus so much on the parties and the huge acts, we forget that there's another side to WMC—one that, bizarrely, isn't really talked about at all. For many, WMC is a trip made for business, not for pleasure.
Work it Out
It's hard to think of Miami as a work atmosphere, but for talented UK Drum And Bass DJ/Producer Edward Oberon, it is. The beach is his office; fellow DJ's are his co-workers; turntables are his desk. He offered some insight to what goes on behind the scenes at WMC—and being that it is his fourth year going to Miami, this man definitely knows what he's talking about.
Before his travel plans are even thought about, he is hard at work in the studio. So much as a year ahead of time, Oberon is producing tracks that are strictly for the conference. "When I'm making the tracks, I won't share them with anybody. That way, when I play them down in Miami, it makes it exclusive and the sets are special," he says.
Even when you make your plans to go down to the conference, there is a bit of uncertainty in whether or not you get to play multiple places, or anywhere at all. "Like someone will call you and ask you to play a show months in advance, but won't give you any details 'til the day before!" But that's the beauty of WMC, "You get to meet so many people and collaborate with them—it's really a marketing thing," says Oberon.
Larger record labels have been known to cover the costs of one or two nights at a hotel, but if you are not on one of those labels, then you are shelling out money from your own pockets. "It's an investment for sure," says Oberon, "although the profits you make in the following year, more than make up for the investment you made."
When you leave Miami, you don't just go empty handed. You leave with new contacts, new fans, new music, and more gigs. "The amount of work I accumulate there, is enough work to tide me over the next year until WMC comes around again." According to Oberon. It isn't just about awesome tans and hot chicks; it's a career move. And when you're in a pool this year, rockin' out to some nasty beats, remember the work put in months before hand to make sure you had a great time.
Check out Edward Oberon Every track on there is BRILLIANT!! My favorite is 'Uptown'!! His podcast here on GenXGlow is soon to come!

Prolix, Jade, and Optiv mentioned in Kantyze DOA interview: Check the interview/mix (Jade Supported)
source
KANTYZE
DOA: You guys have been putting out tunes steadily over the last six years. Any favorites from your catalog, in particular?
Kantyze: I think "Metallic Taste" is really the first track that we've put a lot of effort into back in 2004, and the fact that it came out on our label on vinyl meant a lot for us. It definitely opened lots of closed doors. Aside from this one, we really like the output of our collaboration tracks with our friends Morebeat, our teamwork works really well. Ultimately, we like all of our tunes!
DOA: You guys recently had a release drop on Freak. How does it feel to get that proper recognition from DnB luminaries like Dylan?
Igor: I met Dylan at the Therapy Sessions when I was living in London in 2000; he's always been an influence for us when we write our harder stuff, especially for Fred, who used to cane his tracks in the Biotic and early Cylon days when he was DJing before. Then we eventually played together in France, and started to send over our stuff and the outcome came on Freak 034, and there will be more soon from ourselves on the Freak camp.
DOA: You guys also run m-Atome, a label that's put out consistent heat on the low for a while. What’s in the pipeline for your imprint?
Kantyze: It's been hard to focus a lot on the label in 2010 with writing tracks, family life and so on, like some labels lately we have slowed down the release pace for the vinyl front as sales have been quiet, but we have m-Atome 016 coming out very soon, with an old n' epic Kemal & Dresden Codex remix on the A-side, and a Morebeat and Kantyze tune on the flip. As for the next releases spread out until the end of the year, we have Dose, Rregula on 017, Jade, Chris SU, Rido, Morebeat, The Sect, Thought and ourselves for the coming ones, a lot of good people and a batch of sick tunes!
DOA: What else do you guys have sorted out for yourselves, release-wise?
Kantyze: We have tunes that have just come out on Sinuous, Fokuz, m-Atome and Mindtech, we also have things planned for Freak, Obscene, Melting Pot, Perkussiv, Trust In Music, RTDLTD, Necroid and obviously our homebrewed imprint m-Atome, for which we have started to write solo and collaboration tracks for an album that will see the light in 2011. We're also busy writing some funk breaks with our friend Prosper from Lab-Rok and Expresillon.
DOA: Which do you guys prefer – running your label or producing tracks?
Kantyze: These are very different. Running a label is putting out tunes you are 100% into and for which you will fight out to put them out because you believe in them and you are true to the artists you sign. But sometimes it's hard to keep the pace as many factors can slow you down easily. Writing your own tunes is one of these factors, but we like it best. It's very rewarding when they get played and signed to great labels. We write a lot of different styles and it's always good to do something else aside than DnB as it allows you to get back to it better somehow.
DOA: You guys represent Tours, France – what's the DnB scene like out there? Any artists or DJs we should be on the look out for?
Kantyze: Well, I think we are the only "recognized" DnB artists in Tours lol, as it's a small city, but there are a lot of great bands or artists here in various styles (Rubin Steiner, BBB, Ezekiel, Nineeleven, Emergency Broadcast System, Loo & Placido, DragonPunch, Mc Am'n...); unfortunately our city politics don't push our music and it’s really hard to do regular nights to promote "underground" electronic music, although this might change soon as we got a big venue opening next spring, very excited about this!
DOA: Good luck with that! Can we get a top 10 from you guys?
Kantyze:
Prolix - Freeze Frame
Kantyze & Disphonia – 1987 Demons
Kantyze – Hot Cold
The Sect – Equinox
Jade & SOM – Here we go
Future Signal – Dr Strangelove
Jade & Chris SU – Digital Mind
Axiom – the damage done
Kodo – Rough Trade
Optiv & Maztek – Quarks
DOA: Any shouts or final thoughts before we get into the mix?
Kantyze: We've sorted for the Dogs a free LP composed of some of our old tunes that we managed to grab of from our derelict hard drives, hence called Digging The Western Digital; enjoy the freebie and keep checking here as there will be a new free tune every 500 downloads!
