Come rain or shine this summer, we at Proximity are always keep the vibes rolling HOT, as we step up to the plate with Q-BiK's' Summer Soul EP.
Australian based Q-BiK is a name you're beginning to hear and see more
and more. This steadily rising star on the international circuit has
recently toured UK, Europe and Asia!. He will also be touring the US, Canada
and South America in October and we couldn't of chosen a better candidate then Q-BiK to grace us with something a little different from Proximity!
'Around You' fuses together a lushes mixture of traditional woodwind instruments and Rhodes licks with high octane bass, devastatingly produced synth lines and sublime vocals. Fast paced switch ups keep things moving on this one allowing the track to cause mayhem on the dancefloor!
Up next we feature 'In 2 Deep'. Snappy Amen breaks and blissful vocals reflect off one another in ways that will send shivers down the back your spine! Rapid basslines, Rhodes chords and heavy duty percussion sequences are all thrown into the mix to complete this colorful picture of sound!
For the third track we welcome a collaboration between Q-BiK fellow producer Seeka! Bouncy beats, reversed samples and catchy movements on the synths make up the track titled 'Moving On'. An extraordinary blend of arpeggiated layers help to keep the vibe interesting, not to mention the high energetic vocal edits, which gives it that dancefloor twist!
Soul driven vocals and powerful beats take control of the last track to feature on the ep. 'What You Do' contains pure originality with rolling percussion, bright synth leads and stomping bass lines! The track switches up a notch when blinding synth sequences come into play with upfront beats, showing us Q-BiK's diversity as a producer by covering the funkier, liquid & deeper side of DnB, whilst keeping it fit and grooving for the dancefloor!
